    Controlling Compliance of Collaborative Business Processes through an Integration Platform within an E-government Scenario

    Compliance management is gaining increasing interest in inter-organizational service-oriented systems, which are usually supported by integration platforms. Due to their mediation role and capabilities, these platforms constitute a convenient infrastructure for controlling compliance requirements affecting inter-organizational message exchanges, which may be carried out as part of collaborative business processes (CBPs).     Towards Run-Time Verification of Compositions in the Web of Things using Complex Event Processing

    Following the vision of the Internet of Things, physical world entities are integrated into virtual world things. Things are expected to become active participants in business and social processes. Then, the Internet of Things could benefit from the Web Service architecture like today’s Web does, so Future ser-vice-oriented Internet things will offer their functionality via service-enabled in-terfaces. In previous work, we demonstrated the need of considering the behav-iour of things to develop applications in a more rigorous way, and we proposed a lightweight model for representing such behaviour. Our methodology relies on the service-oriented paradigm and extends the DPWS profile to specify the order with which things can receive messages. We also proposed a static verifi-cation technique to check whether a mashup of things respects the behaviour, specified at design-time, of the composed things. However, a change in the be-haviour of a thing may cause that some compositions do not fulfill its behaviour anymore. Moreover, given that a thing can receive requests from instances of different mashups at run-time, these requests could violate the behaviour of that thing, even though each mashup fulfills such behaviour, due to the change of state of the thing.     Taverna es una potente herramienta para el diseño, desarrollo y ejecución de experimentos biológicos y componente central de la plataforma myGrid. Una de sus cualidades más importantes, es su capacidad de mediación entre usuarios y la computadora, simplificando de forma notable varias tareas computacionales avanzadas. En este reporte, se presenta el resultado de un relevamiento de la literatura, con el propósito de describir las principales características y funcionalidades de Taverna, así como la arquitectura, integración con otros proyectos, presentando también algunas limitaciones y debilidades

    A fines de 2009 se libera la primera versión del Enterprise Mashup Markup Language (EMML), un lenguaje especifico de dominio (DSL) para la creación de mashups empresariales, producido por la Open Mashup Alliance (OMA). En este reporte se analizan las principales características de dicho lenguaje en base a su aplicación en un caso de estudio. Como resultado, se presenta un análisis de las fortalezas y debilidades de la versión actual del lenguaje, y se esbozan perspectivas de extensión del mismo

    Manejo de cambios en la calidad de las fuentes en sistemas de integración de datos

    Los Sistemas de Integración de Datos (DIS) integran información desde un conjunto de Fuentes de Datos heterogéneas y autónomas, y proveen dicha información a un conjunto de Vistas de Usuario. Consideramos un sistema donde se toman en cuenta las propiedades de calidad. En las fuentes existen los valores reales de las propiedades de calidad y en el sistema integrado existen los valores requeridos de estas propiedades. En este tipo de sistema, considerando la gran cantidad posible de fuentes y su autonomía, aparece un nuevo problema: los cambios en la calidad de las fuentes. Los valores reales de los elementos de las fuentes pueden cambiar con mucha frecuencia y de forma impredecible. Nos interesan las consecuencias que pueden tener los cambios en la calidad de las fuentes sobre la calidad global del sistema, e incluso sobre el esquema del DIS y la forma de procesar su información. Analizamos estas consecuencias basándonos en las diferentes posibilidades existentes para manejar los cambios en los esquemas de las fuentes en sistemas de este tipo. Además estudiamos dos propiedades en particular; frescura y precisión, y definimos estrategias para el manejo de los cambios en estas propiedades

    Solutions for electronic exchange of social security information in an international context

    Various issues related to social security information exchanges between different countries are analyzed and the European Union solution, named Eessi project (Electronic Exchange of Social Security), is described. One of the key components of Eessi is the so-called Master directory, which manages information about institutions participating in information exchange, business processes concerning every institution and information flow associated to electronic documents. The application of a similar solution for countries in other regions taking into account advantages and disadvantages is discussed

    Gateways-based Interoperability for DLT

    Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology (DLT) to manage data in a decentralised way. During the last years, interoperability has become one of the main challenges within blockchain research as blockchains increasingly require integration between each other. Indeed, blockchains work by design in silos of information as interoperability is not a native feature. The main efforts in the field are focused on blockchains, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, interoperability in DLT remains as an almost untouched area of work as they introduce additional requirements focusing on privacy and identity. Although there are some interoperability solutions for DLT, they are either high-level design proposals not providing concrete implementations or focus on interoperability issues between business applications and blockchain platforms. In this paper we propose a gateway-based platform-to-platform interoperability solution for DLT, which comprises a detailed solution design and a reference implementation. The proposal was assessed through the development of a social security case scenario and the evaluation through two interoperability frameworks. A reference implementation was built using two DLT: Hyperledger Fabric and Corda. The experimental results shows that it is possible to achieve technical interoperability between two heterogeneous DLT platforms using a gateway-based interoperability solution, relaxing decentralisation, data privacy, identity and authorisation management properties

    Un Data Warehouse (DW) es una base de datos que almacena información para la toma de decisiones. Las características de los DWs hacen que los modelos de datos y estrategias de diseño sean diferentes a los utilizados para las bases de datos operacionales, requieren nuevas técnicas y herramientas de diseño. Este proyecto plantea la contrucción de herramientas CASE que asistan al diseñador en la construcción de un DW relacional a partir de un esquema conceptual con estrategias de diseño. También se quiere asistir al diseñador en el relacionamiento entre el esquema conceptual y la base fuente de donde obtendrá los datos. Las herramientas CASE serán parte de un conjunto de herramientas de diseño DW que conforman una plataforma de investigación y experimentación para trabajos de cooperación entre la Universidad de la República y la Universidad de Versailles Saint Quentin en Yvelines (Francia)

    A Data Quality aware Enterprise Service Bus for e-Health Integration Platforms

    The integration of software systems running in different healthcare organizations is increasingly required in order exchange data and carrying out healthcare processes in coordinated ways. This integration is usually supported by integration platforms which are based on advanced middleware technologies, like the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). In addition, data quality in the healthcare area is critical to take timely and accurate decisions for the health and well-being of patients. This paper proposes a data quality aware ESB (DQ-ESB) for e-Health integration platforms which allows assessing and enforcing data quality within inter-organizational data exchanges. DQ-ESB handles an extensible data quality model which includes quality characteristics identified within the Uruguayan e-Health context.
